Weekends at West Pt. I: adidas Adizero Prime Parley
It's not often the worlds of footwear and environmental consciousness come together to create, but in the case of adidas, The Brand with the Three Stripes has made it very clear that doing what it can to save the planet and make use of waste is a cause they'll champion. adidas has partnered with a company called Parley for the Oceans to make use of coastal garbage and turn it into something great. Parley has created a product called Parley Ocean Plastics™ using this recycled waste and adidas has partnered with them to use said product on some of their sneakers that utilize their Primeknit material.
The adidas Adizero Prime Parley has been given this treatment, and not only does this pair look and feel great on your feet, you, as a consumer, can feel good about making this purchase and doing your part, as small as it may be, to save the worlds oceans. Conceived with marathon training in mind, the Adizero Prime Parley is a super-lightweight, responsive, neutral shoe designed to hug your foot and provide that lockdown feel serious runners crave. The midsole features upgraded Energized Boost cushioning for adidas' most-responsive, energy-returning technology. The harder you push it and the more you give, the more you'll get back from the Adizero Prime. Featuring an upper made entirely of lightweight, breathable Primeknit, some of the yarn was made using Parley Ocean Plastics™. A flexible outsole rounds things out and caters to your stride and Continental™ rubber offers unmatched traction.
The adidas Adizero Prime Parley can be purchased online or in store. Feel free to swing by 147 W 72nd ST in Manhattan this weekend to check out this pair, and don't sleep on the adidas Utrlaboost Parley either!
