Vans Sk8-Hi "Burgundy" & "Yellow"
Originally released back in 1978, the Vans Sk8-Hi hit shelves just in time to help to usher in what many would consider to be the first golden age of skating in the 1980s. What started as a simple doodle by Vans co-founder Paul Van Doren would come to be one of the most iconic images and unofficial secondary Vans logo in the form of the Sk8-Hi's unmistakable sidestripe. The Sk8-Hi also literally and figuratively took the design of skate shoes to an un-precedented level, while also providing extra support and functionality at the same time, as the first pair of Vans to have a collar that hit above the ankle. Seen here in suede done up in burgundy and yellow, the Vans Sk8-Hi easily falls into that ever so hard to reach category of "must-have" for any true footwear collector.
As of writing, each of these pairs is only available in store or via phone order. Give us a call at 212-787-8595 or drop in and see us at 147 W 72nd ST on the Upper West Side in Manhattan.
