Nike Air Force 1 High '07 "Columbia"
Icons aren't normally born overnight, but the Nike Air Force 1 High is an exception to that rule. Arguably Nike's most popular design - ever - and created by Bruce Kilgore for its original release in 1982, the Air Force 1 High was the first nike performance basketball shoe to feature the technology that catapulted the Swoosh into the sneaker zeitgeist, Nike Air. Noted for it's signature ankle strap and beefy midsole for housing the enclosed Nike Air unit, 36 years later the AF1 isn't going to be disappearing from Nike's footwear stable anytime soon.
This pair features the traditional leather upper colored in Columbia blue with some excellent contrast provided by the obsidian Swoosh, laces, and requisite AF1 branding on the tongue. There's also some added texture with the scaled pattern featured on the medial and lateral Swoosh.
